The popular ensemble will bring their musical stylings to the gallery for two hours of standards and audience favorites. Sax player Jeff Norris performed with various musical groups in the Philadelphia area before relocating to Sunset Beach. Cip Garcia began studying guitar in high school and then played rhythm guitar in a Chicago jazz duo. Also on guitar is Jim Pope who played bass for the Raleigh group Montage and later for the Vintage Accents jazz group. Drummer Mark St. Clair began his musical education in the Washington DC area during high school. After playing for some time with a country band\, he discovered an interest in jazz. The band has recently added Bobbi Bernstein on keyboards and vocalist Bryan Hughes. \nJazz Night is held from 5 to 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. Mark your calendars and plan to stop by! In this one-day workshop you will learn to listen your instinct and create two beautiful miniature abstract paintings. \nWe will start your creative journey by scribbling on 6- by 6-inch wood boards with different mark making tools. We will add a little bit of collage using bleeding tissue paper and we will then apply multiple layers of acrylics to create dimension and transparency. Final accent will be added with soft and oil pastels. This is an exciting project for both experienced artists and novices. You do not need any previous experience to join us.
